The stable and equestrian center are continually
researching ways they can better serve the community and the environment.
At this time, manure is available to community gardens, public parks, public
gardens and private gardeners in the area. This is a wonderful ingredient
for composting and mulching.
If you are interested in learning more about composting or would like to attend
a class on gardening using manure and casting material, please contact Jayne
Jones at (714) 535-3510, or email Jayne at:

VermiPRO
has fully operational Worm Farms and Breeder Beds
throughout Southern California. We offer a variety of products
and services to avid gardeners, plant enthusiasts, residential homeowners,
educational institutions and commercial organization. These offerings
revolve around the process called vermicomposting, ("vermi" is
the Latin word for worm) composting with worms
VermiPRO specializes in the methodology of using worms to eat
through slowly decomposing organic materials (e.g., vegetable scraps,
coffee grounds, greenwaste, manure etc…) which results in a rich
admixture for soil called worm castings or simply “castings”.
Earthworm castings have been a 'secret weapon' of avid gardeners and plant
enthusiasts for hundreds of years. These gardeners knew that earthworm
castings enhanced plant health and growth.
Anaheim Equestrian Center and VermiPRO have undergone a
partnership program offering products and educational information. Join us
and have fun learning about the environmental benefits of worm
castings.

PROJECT GARDEN AND SCHOOLS
A school can be an ideal place for your garden. Kids love playing in the dirt! And this is the chance to teach them a lesson for a lifetime - food doesn't have to come wrapped in plastic and organic is not only better for the planet, it tastes better. From beanpole teepees to scarecrows and toad houses, we have lots of special garden projects for children, to keep them interested and teach them fun lessons while Mother Nature works her magic.
PROJECT GARDEN AND RETIREMENT/CONVALESCENT CENTERS
When asked what they miss most, senior citizens living in retirement centers often say, "my garden." EarthSave volunteers working with senior citizens on Project Garden find they learn a lot from some of these master gardeners.
PROJECT GARDEN AND CHURCHES
Churches, synagogues and mosques are a natural place for groups to join together and improve the health and vitality of their community by providing nutritious, life-giving fruits and vegetables for the church garden. Along the way, church members can learn about the relationship between plant foods and health, and marvel at the wonder of growing food.
PROJECT GARDEN AND LIBRARIES
Libraries participating in Project Garden set up special displays of books about food, gardening, and the environment. In addition to manning the hoes and shovels, EarthSave volunteers read to the children at story hour and talk with them about how the food they're growing will help them grow.
PROJECT GARDEN AND BUSINESSES
Companies whose offices are in or near residential areas are often looking for ways to be a good neighbor. Funding a Project Garden - or even giving space in the corner of the parking lot to grow veggies in raised beds - is a terrific way for them to reach out to the community.
